FROM CHATSWORTH: The Wildacre cabin is located about 7 miles south of Chatsworth, GA., off U.S. 76/GA Hwy. 282 between Chatsworth & Ellijay, GA. From the courthouse in downtown Chatsworth, drive south 6 miles until you come to a traffic light. Turn left and you will go a few hundred yards (passing Dollar General on your right) and come to a Stop sign. Turn right onto U.S.76/GA Hwy 282 (you really will be headed south, but the signs will read East U.S.76/GA Hwy 282). Drive 2.3 miles until 76/282 turns to the left (east) headed up the mountain to Ellijay (if you continued south, you would be on Old Hwy. 411). After you turn left on 76/282, go 0.3 mile and turn left again onto Dennis Mill Road. Continue on Dennis Mill Road for 0.8 mile, and then turn right onto the unmarked gravel driveway between a brick house and a field.You will see a sign with a red "W" circled by green leaves on the left side of the driveway. Follow this road about 3/4 of a mile and you will come to a white wooden gate with rock columns, the road will open up into a heavenly vista, and you'll know you're at Wildacre. |
FROM ELLIJAY: Follow U.S. 76/GA Hwy. 282 west (across from Dairy Queen) and continue for approximately 15 miles. Turn right on Dennis Mill Road. Continue on Dennis Mill Road for 0.8 mile, then turn turn right onto the unmarked gravel driveway between a brick house and a field. You will see a sign with a red "W" circled by green leaves on the left side of the driveway. Follow this road about 3/4 of a mile and it will lead you right to the white wooden gate with rock columns, the road will open up into a heavenly vista, and you'll know you're at Wildacre. |
FROM ATLANTA: Take I-75 North to Exit 293 - Chatsworth/White Exit. This exit is just north of the Cartersville exits. At the end of the Exit ramp turn right headed north on U.S. Hwy 411. Go 26 miles north on U.S. Hwy. 411. Turn right (east) at the traffic light, Ralston's Corner (convenience store) will be on your left, onto GA Hwy. 136. Go east 0.3 mile, and take the first left- just past the railroad tracks onto Old Hwy 411. Go north on Old Hwy. 411 for 6.2 miles, (when you go over a one lane bridge, you will know you are on the right road) then turn right (east) on U.S. 76/GA Hwy. 282. Take the first left (0.3 mile) and you will be on Dennis Mill Road. Continue on Dennis Mill Road for 0.8 mile, and then turn right onto the unmarked gravel driveway between a brick house and a field.
